Singapore in a Day, Done Properly
What this is
If it's your first day in Singapore and you want to see the major spots without spending the morning figuring out the MRT, this is what I run. Four hours, the obvious sights, but with the context most people miss.
Where we go
We start at Marina Bay for the Marina Bay Sands and skyline view. The earlier we go, the cleaner the photos.
Then to Gardens by the Bay for a quick Supertree pass — not the deep version (that's a separate tour I do), just enough to see what they actually are.
Chinatown after that. We walk the main streets, I'll point out the shophouses worth a closer look, and you'll get a recommendation list for places to eat that aren't on TripAdvisor's first page.
Then Little India, which most one-day tours skip because it's not "instagrammable" enough. I think it's one of the most interesting neighbourhoods in the city, and we'll walk a route that gets you the colour and the food without it feeling rushed.
We finish at Merlion Park, where you can take the obligatory photo and then head off on your own. I'll leave you with a list of where to go next based on what we talked about during the walk.
